James (who goes by Bobby)is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all church buildings, grounds, and equipment.Bobby was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. Completed high school in 1960 and served in the U.S. Navy in the early 60's. Bobby married Jane Hicks in 1964, and they have three children. Bobby was ordained to the deaconship in 1971 at South Beltline Baptist Church.

Bobby co-owed Braco Carpets in 60's and 70's. He joined Dixie Industrial electric in 1979, serving as field service manager in lighting services, later working as a sub contract manager for U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. He retired in 2000. Bobby and Jane have been members of Trinity Baptist church for over 20 years. He now serves on the Trinity Baptist staff as part time Maintenance supervisor.
