Our number one purpose is to worship God and glorify His name. Romans 12:1 says "give your bodies to God as a living and holy sacrifice, the kind He will accept." (NLB).
Worship is a daily lifestyle, and music is just one of the ways we glorify His name. If you or someone in your family would like to be involved, then join us in one of following areas of ministry:
Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir is made up of adults 18 years old and up. They provide worship music for Sunday morning and special worship events. This exciting and fun group of adults are involved because God has led them to be more than just a choir; they are worship leaders. 2 Chronicles 29:11 says "The Lord has chosen you to stand in His presence, to minister to Him, and to lead the people in worship and make offerings to Him." (NLB). We meet every Wednesday night begining at 6:30 PM in the Worship Center and conclude at 8:00 PM in the Choir Room. We invite you to join us as we prepare our hearts and music for worship.
Children's Choirs
Our Children's Choir is led by our Children's Minister, Brenda Willis. They meet from mid-August through December. This choir is open to children from preschool, ages 3-5, through children, grades 1-6. They provide a Christmas program annually.
Orchestra
The orchestra is led by Scott Clark. They meet on Wednesday evenings 7:15-8:30 PM in the Worship Center. They provide music for worship as well as accompany the Celebration Choir on special selections.
Handbell Choirs
The adult handbell choir has 11 ringers amd is available for seasonal events such as Christmas, Easter or other special occasions. This choir does require the ability to read music. For further information, you can contact the music ministry at 791-0440 ext 224.
