Midlands Chainsaw Unit

Disaster Relief

Our Chainsaw Unit is a recovery team that responds during a time of disaster by removing trees, limbs, and brush from driveways, roofs, and yards. We respond locally, Statewide, and around the country with the support of the Southern Baptist Convention

Pray

Everyone can support us by praying for our team and our mission. Please pray for the safety of our team as we travel to various locations in and out of the state and as we work at different job sites to remove trees and other debris left behind from storms. Pray for our families that we leave behind at inopportune times to go help others in need. Pray for the homeowners and their families that we are able to help during these difficult times and that we may touch them and have the opportunity to share the gospel with them

Give

If you are led to do so, we would greatly appreciate your financial support. We are currently in the process of raising funds to buy a man lift for the team in order to better serve our community safely. Checks can be written to Trinity Baptist Church with attention to Chainsaw Disaster Relief. Any amount is welcomed and greatly appreciated

Volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer with the Midlands Chainsaw Unit. We encourage people to get involved by first joining us on one of our local disaster relief trips. No chainsaw experience is needed as volunteers can help fill the roles of limb and brush removal. Additional training is available to fulfill the roles of chainsaw operator, admin, and chaplain. There are other areas in disaster relief that need volunteers such as mass feeding, shower and laundry, and chaplaincy. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, please reach out to us via email and we can provide you with more information on ways to get involved.
